ALEKSANDAR ŠAPIĆ

Born June 1, 1978 in Belgrade.

He began to work with Waterpolo in 1984 in the water polo club “Red Star” in which he passed all younger categories. In BC “Partizan” passes in 1991 and in 1992, with less than 14 years, debuts for the first team of Partizan. In 1993, he returned to the Red Star FC in order to continue his career in BC “Becej” in 1994. In 2001 he went to Italy in the water polo club “Kamolji”, after which he moved to VK “Rari Nantes Savona” after three seasons. In 2006, he went to Russia’s VK “Sturm 2002”, signing an agreement that made him the highest-paid player in the history of water polo. 2009 finishes a professional water polo career.
